It is with a heavy heart that we are looking for a new, experienced home for our 4-year-old male Blue Heeler. We took him in from our father when he was no longer able to care for him, but we now realize that we cannot offer him the specific environment and lifestyle he truly needs. He is a loyal, smart, and energetic dog who deserves a place where he can fully thrive. About Him:Blue Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog)4 Years oldMicrochipped, not neutered. In great physical condition.Car Travel: well-behaved in the car, though he can whine a bit for the first few minutes out of pure excitement. Included: All of his personal supplies/belongings are included in the price (bed, toys, leash, etc) Energy Level: Extremely high. He needs plenty of physical exercise, mental stimulation, and a job to do.Living Situation: We are ideally looking for owners living on a farm or in a rural setting with ample outdoor space where he can burn off his energy.Other Animals: He does not get along well with other dogs, but with some training this might change.Children: Good with older children, but they must be respectful and patient enough to earn his trust first. Experience Required: Because Blue Heelers are a high-drive working breed, we strongly prefer owners who already have experience with dogs (preferably herding or working breeds) and understand their specific behavioral needs.
